Dollywood 2009

Returning for yet another year of strong family entertainment and memory-making is Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. Dolly herself is especially pleased for the park to reopen as it debuts a brand new show "Sha-Kon-O-Hey!", with eight songs written by the fabulous Parton, opening May 9th.

Dollywood didn't always open its season with The Festival of the Nations, but now its hard to imagine anything else starting a great new year for the popular amusement park. Another new show in "Imagine: Le Grand Cirque" will be the center spotlight showcasing performers who represent 9 different countries. The return of unique sidewalk vendors, decorations and foods will be welcomed as well.

By staying with Pine Mountain, you have the advantage of a trolley stop, which can take you to Dollywood for only $0.50 a person (as opposed to their $7-8 parking fee) without having to worry about traffic going in or out. The weather will finally be warming up and it will be comfortable to get outside and enjoy running around The Great Smoky Mountains without it getting too cold or too hot.

Don't forget Pine Mountain's location is perfectly balanced between Sevierville and Gatlinburg, offering quick and easy access to downtown Pigeon Forge and the Red Roof Mall. Just a bit down the road is Walden's Landing. Another 3-5 minute drive takes you to Patriot Park and The Old Mill complex. You can't lose!
