One of the biggest developments going on in downtown Gatlinburg has been the development of the new Anakeesta Village attraction just before stoplight #3 where the Ripley's Aquarium resides. Anakeesta is a multi-activity attraction that specializes in outdoor thrills and views as it provides a new sky lift ride from downtown Gatlinburg up to Anakeesta Mountain.
